this is too cute not to share. at this point in time i have three betta fish, rayne, jasper and now storm. i also have one little guppy fish that has its own tank. my brother also brought home with him from school a little orange terror cat named indy. well unlike my three adult cats indy is very intrested in my fish. since the guppy is usally the easiest one to get to, thats the one he typically annoys. the guppy swims around his tank in terror (not knowing that he is perfectly safe from the kitten, he like the bettas has a top which the kitten can't move) i typically have to move the kitten away from the terrified guppy. so the other day i pointed out my three bettas which all sit on top of my dresser at this point. all three have a five gallon tank with a firm top on. all three seem to know they are safe from the kitten. so jasper and storm (my boy fish) seem particlarly fond of annoying the kitten. they swim back in forth watching the kitten try to pounce on them, and almost seem to laugh as the kitten fails over and over again. jasper has even taken to flaring at the kitten showing who is boss. these are smart little fish. the only one who still doesn't seem to get there is no need to panic is still the guppy and occasonally rayne. but Raynes a baby still, so she will figure it out.

anyways i thought i would show you all pics of the four fish and kitten just because i like showing them off.

the fish are perfectly safe, i however am not from the kitten. *tends to bloodied wounds) i wonder if the fishies would think it strange if i tried to hid from that little devil cat.

LOL cats are cunning. I'm sure fish will be on the menu one day.

If you ever decide you want to ship the kitten off so your bettas get a rest, I'll happily take her :p

haha my betta had my puppy (fully grown puppy) very confused and frustrated also.

my parrot however, was scared half to death.

(parrot with wings, not a parrot fish)

Ah, him, sorry. I understand about the whole devil cat thing, though. I have a kitten who's like that. She's not actually a kitten any more - she turned a year old last month - but she's always getting into something or trying to eat something that she shouldn't (ie, rats, gerbils, fish. the dogs, sometimes.) and she hates people other than me. Bites and growls and hisses if anyone gets close to her.

If it makes you feel better, they don't grow out of it :p
