well i bought a betta a couple of days ago and i want u guys opinions on wich tank he would do best in:

a 2 foot long, 1 foot high and 1 foot wide tank with some harliquin rasboras, some guppys and some neons. i bought him a tank with neons in it so i put him in there for the while and everyones gettin along.

now i got a 3 foot long, 1.5 feet high and 1 foot wide with some small gouramis, 2 small angels some clown laoches and silver sharks that school together, some bnoses some mollys and thats about it. so wich tank do u think he will do better in?

no ways. hes doing just fine in the tank his in and on a site i read on it sed they have been seen in tanks with gouramis silver sharks and clown loaches so i just asked wich one. cuz im relly confused :look:

Yes definately get him his own tank!!! SOON! Yea people have them in with gourami's and silver sharks, but those people are a little stupid I guess!!! Get him his own tank, bettas weren't made to live with other fish!!!! If you dfon't believe me go on the austrailian betta forum and ask them there, they will say the same thing to you. :)

no guys. hes doing fine. hoo ever ed he wasnt ment to be with other fish. hes doing fine with them. and i dont want to get anutha tank for him. hesa okay with the other fish!!!

Edit. P.S Maureen.....ur crown tail Mr.strawberry looks exactly like mine and mine hasnt been niped at the whole 3 days ive had him.

id agree with everyone and say move him to his own tank, a one gallon atleast..2.5 would be great. you may think he is doing fine now, but it could take weeks for him to show agression towards the neons, it all depends on the mood he is in that day..i would seriously think about moving him, so no fish end up dead.

i think were worried more about the fish with your fish, bean. flow? bettas tend to not like a flow in their water and some filtration systems produce a current in your aquarium that bettas don't like/its bad for them.

well the neons dont harm him and theres nuthing going on between him and the guppys.

and he doesnt mind my filter. he sorta schools with my neons actually.

Well if you're not going to buy him his own tank I'd keep him where he is. I definitely wouldn't put him in with the gouramies, angels, and sharks. If the neons nip him or he kills the guppys though, don't say we didn't warn you.

a betta with neons, guppies and rasboras? NICE!!! haha.. hope it works out for you. but do consider trying to reduce any water movement in the tank. i'm not very knowledgable about bettas, but that's one thing everyone, and i mean EVERYONE tells me they hate

ye i out a silencer type thing on my power filter:D

...you mean powerhead? lol those are for fish that like current....while it does put air in the water, you dont need one for that small of a tank
