right im going to get a betta, i have the following:

Aqua 40 - (6 UK gallons, which is big for a betta seeing how they are kept in tiny cups)
he will live with 3 schwartz corys....so is this a good set-up for my new betta?

the tank has a slow current with real and fake plants + 2 terracotta pots for the corys

cool, i cant wait, my tank is on it second week of cycling...when do i add the betta?

really! cool, ill clean it out tommorow then add him mid week
(if i can find one that isnt dead or one that i like)

u know wat just got to say this....ALL MY 4 LFS'S ARE HOPELES!! (there we go! lol)

No, do not add your betta until you have finished cycling your tank. Using him to cycle could weaken his immune system, and do damage to his fins, and can even cause death.

I have to agree with Meg. You want to be sure your tank is fully cycled and your parameters are Ammonia=0, nitrite=0 and then do a water change to bring the nitrates down. Nitrates less then 20ppm is good.

o ok ill get him later than, ill wait till i find a really nice one
