BETTA PICS!!!!!!

c0ol bettas... living like kings with their respective castles..... have u ever considered breeding them? im tryin to breed bettas... pretty interesting... not too productive yet tho lol... nice fish tho :D

A) Creating a good indirect artificial light source is best. A camera's flash is too direct, bright, and brief to create a good picture.

I actually tried only one photo with a flash and it looked awful. So these are all off of a 1.2 pixel (no idea what this means, but my gf says its bad) digital camera, with the flash off. I tried getting a good light angle  Got tired of bugging with it. When I try for my BOTM pic I'll take your lighting advice.

over shooting your fish for long periods causes stress. THis extra light it already stressing him, don't do anything for more than 5 minutes at a time.

Yeah, I didn't have the flash on after the first try, my bettas didn't even know they were a current subject of photography, as you can see, they were too engaged with eachother. :D

Thank you! Hehe yes I do think of them as kings, they deserve castles. They like to swim loops in and out of the archways. As far as breeding goes, I only own these 2 males, and I haven't really room for more than this 5 gallon and my 20 gallon community tank. I'd love to own more fish, but I don't think I am experienced enough yet with bettas to try breeding. These are my first two. :)

1.2 megapixel means the number of pixels that the camera uses to take the picture. in other words, there are 1 million 200 thousand tiny dots taht make up your picture. (That's why when u blow it up it doesn't look so good) However, sometimes it depends on the photographer (I have a 2.1 mp digital camera and my photos come out excellent) and the other factors that make up good pictures. THe most important thing is that it gives you decent pictures (Which it did, the color saturation was excellent) and it fits within your budget! not really fish related, but i figured it was jsut worth explaining!
