Edit - Okay tried a new domain, hopefully this one works. If not I'll use the pics forum :)

My cam is bad and my photography skills are worse, but I did my best

staring_contest.jpg

The boys having a staring contest.. maybe contemplating how to get through the divider.

reflection.jpg

Hades flares up, he wants to play.

Sheesh, I am the worst photographer ever! Check out that reflection lol.

Longview of the boys playing.

zeusandhadesflare.jpg

Zeus playing back.
This is the fish that was in the 1 inch tall cup of torture from Petco, and his poor fins were all crumpled and broken. Now look at him after only a few days! Flaring up, blowing bubble nests... In person he is MUCH more blue, too.

Well, there they are, hope you enjoy.

they're fantastic!

FYI~ TFF has Betta of the month contests each month  , if you can get a good shot of an individual betta, I bet you can get him nominated :hyper:

The winner recieves a BOTM banner to put in their signature AND a custom user title :D

Ooh, that sounds fun. :D My girlfriend is going to be getting a nice camera soon, perhaps then I will give it a shot!

What great little Bettas I love them both. Good Work.

They look so happy! Great picture of them enjoying each other's company.

I have to ask you what the name of the plant is that you have in your tank with with them because it resembles the plant that I have and do not know the name of it.
Mine makes little rootlets along the stem below the leaves, does yours do that?

Oh BTW, I mean the plants that you have floating at the top of their tank. The only difference I see between mine and your picture is that I buried mine in the stone and yours looks greener (healthier :*) ) than mine does.

Just realized what a sexist comment I made

There's no reason a female can't win BOTM

We'll just say you said "him" only because you know Hades and Zeus are boys  But you are right, I have actually seen some very stunning and sharp looking betta females.

They are LOVELY.

Love the red

Thank you, I'll tell him you said so. Once my girlfriend gets her new camera I'll have to show you how blue Zeus really is in the light. He is as vibrant a blue as Hades is red.

I love them both too, thank you. :D

Yeah they seem to be very happy and active, playing with eachother a lot, but still room to hide and be alone and make bubbles.

Lol. The names of my plants are.. Top-Fin plastic aquarium plants :*) Wish I could take credit for having healthy plants, but they are fake. Sorry I can't answer your question. :)

nice betta pictures... are those super delta tails or veil tails? they look like veil tails to me but im not quite sure

IF you want to get better fish pictures here's a few tips from an award winning photographer (not of fishys, but of other things):

A) Creating a good indirect artificial light source is best. A camera's flash is too direct, bright, and brief to create a good picture. A 100W bulb shone at a 45 degree angle at the tank creates beautiful indirect light that can bring out the colors. Experiment with your tank to find the best angle (Digital cameras also work best for this) (Another good angle on drum bowls is directly through the side. For whatever reason the plastic on my tank can't be seen, acting as a natural filter for the light and softening it.)

B) flashes can stun and often frighten fish. It also causes that annoying reflection on tanks.

C) over shooting your fish for long periods causes stress. THis extra light it already stressing him, don't do anything for more than 5 minutes at a time. If necessary, coax him with some food to relax him, and shut off the artificial light once you are done.

D) MAKE SURE YOUR WATER IS CLEAR!

enjoy the beautiful pics!
