 My male betta Siam hasn't been right over the weekend. I moved him out of the community tank and placed him in a smaller tank with filter, heater, air etc. I can't see anything physically wrong with him. However, today he keeps turning onto his side and his breathing is very slow. I don't think he is going to last long and I'm soooo sad. I think he is approx 2.5 years old. Do you think it could just be old age? He has never been an aggressive fish (never even flared) maybe he was sickly from the start? Swim bladder prob maybe?

Checked water in tank and everything is ok. Haven't done anything different. Other fish are fine.

I'm sorry for your loss :-( :-(  But it was from old age the turning on his side was. I had a male that lived for 3 years and his last 6 months he sat like that and you tapped the tank and he got moving to eat. otherwise he just sat there. Anyway sorry. :-(

sorry about your fish but at least he went quickly and I am sure it was old age. :good:

im sorry to hear that, it sounds like he had a happy life with a very dedacated owner
