Betta In 40 Litre Tank

hi im new 2 fish forums nd im thinkin ov gettin a male betta? i have a 40 litre tank to put him in and can i plz hav some advice on what fish he will be able to live with? thanks

Its safe to stick with only bottom feeders due to them not being aggressive. Tetras, dainos. etc tend to be fin nippers and will stress you betta out. Better to stick to mainly bettas.

so could i get some cherry barbs and corys?

i would say you'd get away with 4 cories,1 betta and 5-6 cherries as cherries are quite slow compared to other barbs and dont tend to nip fins, Could be wrong tho

i'd reccomend harliquins instead of cherries, as i have found cherries aggressive to long finned fish in the past

I have 7 Harlequins and a Betta... Could add couple nerite snails..
