My betta has been fine the past few days, he had a swollen stomach 2 weeks ago, did the pea treatment and the swelling reduced, however today I woke up to find him hiding in an ornament and now he hasn't moved from the top corner of my fish tank. I don't know what's up with him, can anyone help?

Keep an eye on him
but to be honest he's just being a lazy betta like they can :p
Have you changed his water yet?

if its belly is still swollen then dont feed it for a couple of days to let it become less constipated and for the food to pass through it. what food do you feed it?

I have him in a community tank and I changed the water yesterday, I only did what I usually did so I don't see that being the problem. None of the other fish have ever shown any signs of aggression towards him or from him to the others. I have noticed a slight swelling increase, I'll try the pea treatment again tonight, I don't have another tank except a 2.5Gallon tank, would it be cruel to isolate him in there so I can make sure he's not eating the other fishes food?

I feed him a variety, flake/pellets/algae wafers, cycle through them per night.

try holding them in the water before it eats them so they can soak up water, that way they dont expand in the fishes stomach and make it constipated

No luck with the pea treatment, he gobbled it down before now he has no interest in the pea, and now I've got him out of his corner the swelling is worse than what I thought before.

I'm thinking a swim bladder problem? He's just dormant at the bottom of the breeder tank then occasionally does a burst of swimming..

How would I treat this?

with swimbladder they usually have a chance staying upright, and sometimes float at a 45-70 degree angle. if its constipated then the belly will be bigger and rounder than usual and the food inside it will be weighing it down, you could try taking out about 30 percent of the water, then it would have less water pressing down on it and wouldnt have to swim as far to surface for air

I was just wondering since my Betta goes all lethargic when im ready to do water changes and after he goes crazy XD

Could we get a picture of it?

I would isolate him in the 2.5 gallon, it will be fine... Add a medicated dose of epsom salt (1 tablespoon/5 gallons, so 1/2 a tablespoon in your case) The epsom is magnesium based unlike regular aquarium salt which is sodium based, it will help draw out any possible infection and help boost his immune system. Keep the tank bare bottom so you can see if he poops at all and fast him for a good solid week (they can go up to a month without eating and not suffering any ill effects) Hopefully he's just bloated and not showing early symptoms of dropsy.

There's a picture in my previous post.

I'll set up the 2.5G tomorrow, good job I kept my small filter/heater! Going to keep him in the main tank but keep him isolated in a breeding tank and keep the pea in there overnight, see if he'll touch it.

Thanks!

Thanks for all the help guys.. but the worst happened when I woke up this morning. Found Napoleon on the bottom of his tank dead :(, I feared the worst as I hadn't found any waste in his tank at all so I'd started dropsy treatment, looks like I was too late I guess
