BETTA ILL & BLOATED

My lovely male Siamese has suddenly become bloated and is looking very lethargic . Have had him about 9 months and i carry out water changes every 2/3 wks - all tests for Nitrite PH and Ammonia are fine and I have been adding Melafix for the last 4/5 days as one of my Mollies had Pop Eye. Perhaps it is my Fry tank that has contaminated the tank as it has some food remnants in it? as I have a baby Platy. All help is appreciated, I will change 20% of the water today and clean the fry tank etc.

My very first betta had this happen to him. I treated with Bettafix but he died 3 hours later. Hope you have better luck.

what size tank is he in and with what other fish? if its smaller than a 3 gal with no filter than water changes ever 2 or 3 weeks isnt enough and that could be a reason why hes sick. also if he is sick like that, have you taken him out and into a seperate tank to treat him? i wouldnt suggest treating the whole tank. he could have swim bladder from over feeding possibly..or it could be dropsy which is usually fatal. is he eating? anyways keep us updated
