after eating some of my fry sort of flop over on their sides and don't move for awhile. A few times I've thought they have died but sure enough an hour later they are moving around again. I guess this is the same for everyone right?

Also, does everyone's fry sit on the bottom? All of ours swim to the top but just drop straight back down to the bottom afterwards.......

They are almost four weeks old.

My fry will be 4 weeks old on sunday and a some get really lazy after they eat and just slide around the bottom on their bellies like they don't wanna move. I think it's because some get so much food that their bellies get huge and they don't wanna do anything. Just like us humans after a big meal. Then they are fine a while later.

I don't have the problem of them swimming to the top then dropping stright down to the bottom though. Sorry, can't really comment on why they might be doing that. This is my first batch and I'm just learning. But, so far I have learned LOTS! I call them my kids. hehe. (which I don't have)

Good luck! :)

I'm trying to remember back and some of mine did the drop to the bottom thing but not many and the ones that did always had trouble but grew out of it apart from one that I had to let go recently.

It could be just the food weighing them down like Jacquelyn said. A bit like us after Xmas dinner when all we want to do is laze around with our trousers undone to let the belly out

:dunno:

The battery on the camera must be charged by now how about some pictures............ :D .....o and yes when full bellies they do tend to hang around a bit, not for long before they are on the hunt again though...... :D
