Betta Fish And Guppies?

Actually that helps me out with recommending places to get betta females.  There are some really nice breeders that I suggest you check with.  Basement Bettas and Blackwater Bettas both tend to have auctions on Ebay where they sell off some females really cheap and they have some nice females.  I would also recommend you friend them on Facebook if you have that because they will also let friends know if they have any spawns at any given time so you can always ask about any extras or "culls" that they are planning on selling.

If you're still in your fish-in cycle you should be doing 50% every day. Where is your cycle at? What are your water stats today? Even after you've successfully cycled, you should be doing 50% a week.

After your tank is fully cycled - 25% a week is sufficient for a water change schedule and that is what I do on all my tanks except the smallest of my tanks-which I change a little more water in.
