I can never get my betta to flare he just ignore the mirroe

Yah that looks pretty bad... My betta started getting holes all over his fins and the fringes turned black. His tail was just disintegrating. Luckily yours isnt that bad but you still really need to treat it before it leads to other things.

Thats how mine started... Little holes (no discoloration) then it just exploded and turned black and there were pieces of fin literally hanging off... And then he got ich. (That was my experience) but some discolorations can even be red or other colors (yeah weird) sometimes thwre is no discoloration (or just none noticeable)
