They do alittle bit of both from what I understand they will flare and bite each other and if one of the male bettas are winning they one thats winning will chase the other one if it trys to run away. But PLEASE don't fight bettas because its just wrong and cruel to the animals.
i know i was just making sure that my male wont kill my female in a matter of minuites if i breed them.
i do think that it is cruel to fight them, my brother wants to do a tournament if i have extra fry but if he puts even 2 males in one tank to fight i am gonna kill him.......
