I got a new betta a couple weeks ago and he's from Petco so I am not expecting anything miraculous but I'm curious as to how his conformation is. If anyone can tell me how he is good or bad I would greatly appreciate it.

The pictures didn't post in the first one so here they are. Also he's a tail biter unfortunately so don't mind that...

He looks healthy enough. He might have a slightly bent back or it could be the way he moved when the pictures were taken. He doesn't appear to have any signs of disease.

Ya I sure hope he's a healthy boy but I was just wondering about how his conformation is. I've been curious about this topic so I was just wanting to know.

He looks nothing like the original specimens that were used to identify his species. The original Betta splendens has short fins and is pale brown in colour. :)

I can't help with the fancy fin types, they all look the same to me. Hopefully one of the Betta enthusiasts will be able to offer you more :)

Aha ya thanks for the help. Sorry for the initial confusion
