Betta Bowls

I have a 2 gallon hex tank with no filter and heater and my betta is doing fine... I normally change 80% of the water twice a week and sometimes once when I don't have time....I keep my new water in a barrel with and airstone and a heater(which is at 30 C), it's the same water i use in my main tank...

I honestly have no idea what the fuss is all about having filters and dechorinated water and yadda yadda yadda. I have had a blue betta for over a year now. (Getting tired of him  ) Gravel is not that expensive. I have it and I don;t change the water for a month. The water I use is *cough* pure water bought from stores at a quater a gallon. Enough for two times of my tank. Please don;t think I hate my fish, Bettas are very hardy fishes. They live in drains and rivers back home in Malaysia. Really, no fuss is needed.

i got my all my bettas (all 8 males) in 1G sterilite containers, in there, 4 of htem have gravel,a nd the rest have some kind of fake plants. I do 100% water changes weekly, becuase anythign else wouldn't be ablet o get the poop out. Dechlorinating is absolutely necessary, but i dont' have a filter becuase i do water changes constantly. I don't have a heater ether becaseu my room is always quite warm :)

Thats horrible.
They obviously deserve water thats had their waste building up for a month. Nice.

:(

Tell you what, don't flush your toilet for a month. Maybe you'll understand how that fish is living right now.

And you don't dechlorinate your water?!

Please find a caring owner for that fish.
