British Livebearer Association (BLA) and Fancyguppy.co.uk
Are this year holding six guppy shows all over the UK.
So if you think you have a special line of guppies and would like to compete through out the year then please let us know or just turn up on the day.
The idea is to at least show 3 times over the year so the points can be averaged. However if you only want to attend one show your be more than welcome, even if you just looking.
The competition is for single male guppy.
The final round will be the pairs show at the BLA convention and the judging points will be taken from the male score only.
Tanks will be provided by the participant and must be 7" x 7" at the front and 4" front
to back.
No gravel or plants will be allowed, bottom of the tank to be black.
Judging will be carried out by a 3 judges I.K.G.H. accredited judges and final points
for each entry will be the average of the three judge's scores.
Judging will be IKGH standards.
There will be three classes:
1) Broad tails Fan tail
League classes open to non B.L.A. members.
The same fish do not have to be entered at each show.
The guppies MUST have been bred by the participant.
There will be an award for each class and an overall winner.
The league scores will be calculated by taking the total of the entrant's best three show results in each of the three classes.
To compete in the league entries will need to be made in at least three of the six shows however there is no limit as to how many shows a participant can enter.
Participants will remove their fishes ONLY when told to do so by the head judge.
Entries will not be kept by the organizers as with normal IKGH shows.
Entrance fee will be as per the host club fees. If there is no host show there will be no
fee. Any fees collected will be donated to the host club.
General show rules, including start times, will be as per the host show rules. These
