She's most definately female and it's males you shouldn't keep together. They get on just great I've had no problems.

well sorry your wrong. you cant keep male bettas with any other bettas! And you need 4 females. And does she have an egg tube? That looks like a plakat.

like the half giants, but on the other pic the "debated" ( say this lightly) the picture is so blury and dark you cant even tell if it is a male plakat or a female, so on this one I would have to take Scougie's side on this as the fish is in his/her tank.

just because its blurry doesnt mean that im wrong, yes its her fish, but it has the plakat shape, no matter whos fish it, or if they have it, it still has the shape. And the tail! Thats a dead give away,

it could be a female, but its a plakat... 98 percent possitive

So what's the difference between a Plakat and a female Betta? I think I have two female Bettas (lfs said they were) and 1 male in my tank they pretty much ignore each other. The male occasionally chases them but only occasionly. The females tend to flare up to each other but stick together as well.

plakats are a wild betta. very aggresive as well. well at least the males are.

oh, and bettas shouldnt go with any kind of barbs, as they will nip at them, and what kind of gouramis? if theyre not dwarf gouramis, they shouldnt be with bettas either. And no sharks with bettas.
