Best betta setup

Which of the following is the best betta setup?

I think your betta would be happiest in the 4g upright, although they do prefer longer rather than taller tanks, as they need to go to the surface to breathe. Just a comment about option 3: bettas and gouramis should not be kept in the same tank.

Edited to add: Bettas can be kept in 1-2 gallon tanks, too, if you don't want to put him in the 4g. :)
 
I voted with the cories personally.
My VT is in a 15g with cories and young pic.cats.
I have a filter, but have cut the current down with heavy planting.
Mines as happy as can be, and spends a part of each day 'hanging' with the cories. He does on occasion flare and chase them around, but since its rare and he never bites them etc Iv gotten the impression its more of a male pms feeling.
 
Aye that he does, he's layed claim to one side of the tank. Granted its probally the only side the nest isnt disrupted.
 
If it was me I would try him in the 11g with cories (which should always be kept in group of at least four!) and if he looks unhappy, try him in the 4g to see if he prefers it...
