well...time for a little update i guess....not much has happened really. letting the tank mature at its own pace. Although im getting very low phosphate readings im starting to get some green algae on the reef bones. im sure this is phosphates still leaching out and being used up by the algae in the tank and the cheato so giving a sort of false test kit reading.

DIY reactors...bio pearls and/or phosphate remover??

still loads of corals to come up. the monti is a purple superman monti...or should be! its really browned out so i know there is phosphates somewhere. as soon as it goes purple again i know i can add a few more frags

there is a tommi tang and a pair of clarkis in there too. the tangs gorgeous but shy and the clarkis are evil and to be outed ASAP! You can also see half my duncan died while my mate was bringing them back home got about 20 zoa colonies coming when he gets back from touring jordan with the RAF before he goes to afghan

came home with 4 new fishy things at the weekend.

this was sold as a lobo...im not convinced at all though

how big do your duncans heads get on average? do they tend to go through slumps every now and then like leathers do?

lost hal that duncan as my mate braught them back to me overnight and tehy didnt do so well. they usually stay the size they are in the last pic on the post 2 above. about thumb nail size, maybe a bit bigger!

and thanks...the algae is doing my head in its disgusting, but the corals and fish are doing well.

same here everything checks out except the algae , so annoying, whatever the snails eat gets regrown by the end of the day it seems lol

btw what kind of wrasse is that it looks awseome

Duncans recoving nicely from the trip back up north...thought this was a gonner a few months ago

Superman monti, colouring up nicely but not much growth yet. it seems to have based out nicely over the miliput now so hopefully it will start to spread now
