Beginner Herp/invert List

so at 15 years old you have already kept large monitors and Boas aswell as half that list but sold them and now according to your signature you only have a leo and a T

Ohhhhhh, I totally screwed up on that estimation. I didn't look at how big the list is...daaaamn! So I admit, I may have taken experience from one animal to another in the same category.*my experience with large Boids* But I gave them plenty of respect when I did own them. Looking at the size of this list I do admit that half may have been a bit much, but I have kept a great deal of the list, yes. I had a savannah monitor, but gave it to my friend and he's happy as a clam with the big scaly lug. I also had a medium sized redtail boa, but sold it through the newspaper. Had a few venomous spiders, one hognose, an anole, iguana, emperor scorpion, children's python, a few different types of frogs, a newt or two, three or four different types of kingsnakes, a green basilisk, a giant millipede, and a green snake. Where'd you think I got all this money from? It's not so much that I get paid, but the cash I made off of the classified ad sales of all of these coldblooded animals. I made a truckload off of them. I've never kept a ball python, however. Plan on getting one when I can get the enclosure set up. Oh and BTW, in TN, you need a licence to own venomous snakes/lizards, never personally had any venomous snakes or lizards but I'm pretty sure it's no walk in the park. I've also got to admit that half is not the right fraction, but it's got to be one of those damn things. In other words, half is a HUGE miscalculation at the amount of animals that I have owned in the past. But I do see that I've found friends or at least have been aquainted with some on the site. I also don't appreciate being called out but I will get over it. Now, who wants to go out for ice cream?

Lol I've owned a ton of lizards myself, not so much snakes but when you've read as many books as me, read caresheets on species I'll never own, and know people who keep these animals I have a pretty good understanding.
On venomous snakes/lizards. Gila/Beaded are really not all that hard from what I've found, they aren't fast moving, their venom isn't "deadly", just pretty animals that pack a punch if they bite you. Snakes yes can be a bit more difficult, just make sure your good with hooks/tongs and make sure you always have someone with you when they are out for feeding etc and you should be just fine, although I still don't recommend this for the majority if people as its no easy task to juggle a deadly snake with tongs/hooks. =) Still they are cool and rewarding if thats where you want to go.

I'm more of a fan of non-venomous anywho. But I know what you, mean. I grew up around snakes, lizards, bugs, and amphibians. I've pretty much covered all the groups except a few. I just transfer experience to knowlege and care sheets, and that's how this monster came about.
