Hi guys,

Ive noticed my bala shark is dieing.... He/She was fat a few days ago (no disease just greedy) and now its lost alot of wait and looks like a long pencil.... do u know what disease this could be so i can treat the whole tank just incase?

ph - 6.8
Ammonia - 1
Nitrite - 0
Nitrate - 20

Ive take him out now and put him in a bucket with heater etc, but hes just floating around and i dont think he will last a couple of hours :( Sad had to happen just b4 Wales V's England rugby match :(

hes died :( closer look at him out of the water he has all red around the abdomen looks like blood inside the body??? strange

just noticed that my baby (8 month old) black molly is being blown around the tank with the current, its body seems arched, this has happened in the last hour... what the hell is going on?

H Septicemia blood in the body.
How old was the fish, did it lose weight when still eating.

Has something died in the tank to produce the ammonia?. It might be worth having a VERY thorough look in your tank.

Didn't see the ammonia reading.
Need to no size of tank in gallons or litres.
How many fish and which type.

I *think* the stocking is in their siggy. So is the dimensions which comes out to 45 gallons.

God I need some glasses.
massively overstocked then.

Oh my gosh! this has happened to me! Do as large a water change as possible! Does this affect one fish at a time? that is how it happens. You need to remove some fish and give them a new tank, and/or add an air pump!
