Bad Water Change

i suggest slowly pushing him out head first rather than bum first, i had this problem and my fish was jammed around the head. I managed to gently release him back but his eye was badly damaged and it eventually fell out.

Cant believe you are going out for a drink and leaving the fish to die. Thats animal cruelty!!!!

Rub some protroluim jelly in the tube, i no i haven't spelt that right, or vasaline then give him a salt bath.

I also think its quite sad, that you are neglecting it and going out for a drink :/ :-( Cant you see to the fish first?? Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeze :/

Poor thing, must be terrified....

I would be so worried if it was me... :-(

C x

Also rub some vasaline on your hands to help push him out, don't leave him that cruel.

Could be a wind up, nobody decent would do that, leave a fish for a drink, maybe a drink while you do it.

Sadly, it turns out that the only one that can help this fish doesn't actually give a darn after all.
:rip:

if you left that fish to grow out drinking then u aint no fish lover. it is just common sense to do everything you can to get him out then go to the pub! have a bloody heart!!!!!!!!!

Hey all,
Thanx 4 ur concern, i wasnt neglecting the little guy I had jus tried all the suggestions an he wuldnt budge. Thas why we call him fatty!, and all those methods would stress him out an end up damaging him. Im sure the swelling has caused him to be so jammed. So I decided id leave him there 4 a while cause he had no gill restriction and he seemed relaxed enough. Anyway I jus popped back 2 check on him an hed moved bout 3/4 of the along the tube backward. I think the powerhead had pushed him and maybe the swelling is reducing. Im gonna check on him later an i reckon by then ill be able to pop him out or he'll come out.

What did you mean by your quarterly water change?
I hope you meant 25% water change - not that is was one of 4 water changes you do a year? :/

So what do you feed FATTY then?
Did you say it had tank mates, sorry about the Qs but my concerns are a little raised right now!
As i bet other peoples are!!!!!

Dang if I were you I would blow on the small end of the tube and keep doing it until he comes out or cut as much of the big part of the vacum so he can get out easier. Have you gotten him out yet?

If all he's stuck in is tubing then cut it as close to him as possible! Tubing can be replaced very cheaply, for the price of, say, a pint or two. :grr:
Have to be honest, your seeming lack of compassion for this fish isn't going to endear any sympathy or friendship towards you. We all here care deeply about our fish, as family members in many cases. So to hear you've just left the poor thing is almost as bad as you saying you went down the pub while your son was stuck somewhere, but it's his fault because he eats too much. :X
Hugs,
P.

If he was large and fat i don't no how he managed to suck it up, it dosn't make sense to me.

I think it all sums up to you should have been paying attention to what you were doing and if you were drunk or had a few drinks you shouldn't have done a vacum cleaning. :grr:

If must of been one hell of a big gravel vac to suck a big fat goldfish up.
