i brought a cleaner shrimp yesterday came home from work to find nothing but an empty shell all the arms are there but the body gone. it looks like the fish have sucked him out but left the legs. ive been told that they can shed there skin but i cannot see him in the tank.

i am pretty sure thats him sheading or moulting. Look harder. He is probably hiding because he is new to the tank. They often shead upon being put in new enviroments. Everytime my shrimp sheads i think he is dead. Trust me if somethings going to eat it. It will most likely demolish it. You willl see legs floating around the tank and such. Usually when they moult all there legs, head, body stays intact. Keep looking buddy... i have faith he's in there.

Glad you found him! This happened to my mom one time! She was so upset untill she found him when cleaning the tank one day! :D

They will hide out until the new shell hardens. I have not seen my camel shrimp for a week or two, but I am not worried yet.
