Hey fellow salties, long time no see. Some of you older folks I'm sure remember me, although there's probably a lot of new faces since I fell off the face of the earth about this time last year. To those of you I know, sorry I just sort of went "poof" and for the rest of you, I'll look forward to meeting you. Long story short, spent the last year fighting Stage IV Colon Cancer at the tender age of 29. It wasn't fun, but multiple surgeries, chemotherapies and treatments later and my health has finally come back around and I'm trying to get back to my pre-cancer life. Hoping and praying that we can keep it that way.

I managed to limp my marine tank through the last year with me. Lost a lot of stuff in it, but I'm looking forward to rebuilding and getting it back "on track" so to speak. A lot has surely happened in the last year and I'm really looking forward to interacting with folks again. I'll be working back into things slowly in an attempt to put this all in the rearview mirror :good:

And a quick PS, for those of you with family history, or just plain old enough, get scoped. Trust me, the scope is EONS easier than battling cancer once it has a foothold

Whoa great to see you back Ski. We've all missed you.

I'm sorry what you've had to go through, but I'm glad doing great.
Glad to have my fellow new yorker back :good:

SkiFletch, glad to see you have come through the ordeal and are on the other side. My mother in law recently went through that as well, and I can TOTALLY second the PS in your original post.

I'm fairly new to the forums, started my 60USG saltwater tank end of September, so I look forward to meeting you and reading your posts.

It is fantastic news for us salties new and old to have our very good friend back amoungst us, he has been sorely missed :good:

Having fought the fight myself and undergone chemo, surgery and then radiotherapy I know it takes time to get over the treatment, let along the cancer, so look after yourself old friend and be good to yourself.

Cant wait to see what you do with that tank of yours and looking forward to hearing that old wit come springing back..................

Love Seffie x
