I came home to my tank after a weekend away to find a little 1cm addition to my cory population.
My Trilis have been egging all over the place for a month or 2 now. The first batch of eggs were hatched in a trap in the main tank. I accidently dropped them in during a water change and thought they were done for. The next day under blue LED light, I saw the tiniest wriggler make a break for the surface, gulp air and then narrowly miss the jaws of my hungry CPDs and Rams. I was fairly sure that would be the last I saw of him.
In the meanwhile I hatch rounds 2 and 3 in a little 12 litre tank. Out of 20 fry I now have 4 that look like they will make it to adulthood (fungus struck).
I am very shocked to have found one of the original batch alive and swimming in the main tank. My girlfriend has christened him baby nuff nuff. I'll get a photo of him soon.
