Had 3 baby dark BN which were about 1 inch when I got them 4 weeks ago. Just found the largest one dead. S/he had grown to 1.5 in and was quite fat like a little tadpole. It was also the most active, often seen eating algae on tank sides, ornaments etc and swimming in the open. No sign of any injury in teh body. Devastated and worried about the other two which are smaller. Are deaths common among baby BN -why didi it idie? All other tankmates seem healthy though I lost a young female swordtail 10 days ago which was also healthy and eating well.Only have mollies and guppies in the tamk, apart from baby BN. Could there be a secret killer molly? I thought plecs were too tough to be harmed by other fish

have you got plenty of hiding spaces in the tank?
are you supplementing their food with algae wafers and foods like corgette and cucumber?
what are your water stats?

Plenty of hiding places -large piece of wisted wood, ho;llow bridge ND PLnts. hardly ever seen teh BN unless feeding on glass.
Well fed with sinking algaw pellets and cucumber, corgette or potato every day. Anyway he had grown considerably bigger than his siblings and was really fat
Haven't checked water stats lately but were OK last time and do wekly big water changes. Tank has 2 filters , duoble what it needs, too
Can guppies o young 1.5inch mollies bully baby BN to death. Mollies were pushing BN babies off the courgette earlier yesterday
