right you auratus a realy agressive well how do you keep them i know a few people on here have them but in malawi communitys do they need other malawis around them or are they happy just on there own

No you could definitely keep them in a species tank if you wanted to... a 55 gallons prolly the smallest tank you could house them in and you're gonna wanna overstock it to reduce they aggression levels...

Agreed, in fact the ONLY way I would keep them is in a species only tank, nasty little buggers.

I actually had an Auratus try to take on my Red Devil once. The Auratus got whooped but the point is that he tried They are pretty mean little guys.

i have aratus in my malawi tank, the male definitely dominates the tank. i lost a few other aratus when i initially got them. the biggest male won, how he's changed colour, probably about half grown

they are deffenetly aggressive little buggers, but i personaly love them they may be mean but thats what draws me to them, i wouldent suggest keeping them in a malawi community though
