When I first got Alfie he would swim up when I put my finger against his tank. Now he just flares then swims away really fast. I mean he swims away fast

I don't mess with him too much, no one has ever tapped the tank or anything...

I guess he doesn't like me anymore

He still loves you, his attitude will soon change come feeding time!

my betta changed personality. He would see my face and flare and now he just looks at me and swims to the back od the tnk.But when he sees my head above the tank he knows theres food comin.

My betta's also had an attitude change since I bought him a few months ago. I chose him in the lfs because he DIDN'T run away from my finger on the side of the cup he was in...and now he runs most times I try to put my finger up to the glass near him!! Very frustrating! And of course, I keep comparing him to my last and late betta, sweet Betta Boy, who was just the most affectionate, affable fish I'd ever met. I really miss his company. I would sit with him when I came home from work nights and just spend a little time with him.

I guess, like people, you have to take the bettas as we find them--and love them for who they are...

My Beta flares at me when it comes feeding and changes attitude all the time I just tell him "I could stop feeding you" but I will never do that...don't tell him. But I would not be worried about it.

Maybe he is stress with sth right?
give him more time to back:). Good luck!

I didn't see this before.
One has to consider his 'personality' is influenced by his conditions, and his conditions may have been so bad in a petstore that it dampened his original aggressive personality, because he wasn't feeling well, and when put into new conditions, he has to adjust to his new home, and he's blossoming. :) This is a good thing, not a bad thing.
