Assassin Snails

I bought 6 assassins over a year ago... I now have 7.

I'm new to assassins, but I do hope mine breed a little at some point... they sell well on ebay and are super easy to pack safely for shipping. :good:

This conversation made me giggle :good:  I'm just going to go away and grow up a bit now LOL

Please don't do that - we all need a good laugh! Hambone is great for that!!!

Use his correct title: Legendary Celebrity Aquarist Hambone! He brought guppy time to the masses. :good:

I love my assassin snail, "Killer" - had him for about 6 months, and he totally took care of my trumpet and pond snail problem. Also love watching him cruise the tank with his little schnozzle! I've been thinking he looked a little lonely (I know I know - anthropomorphize much? ) and recently upgraded my tank, so last Thursday I went and bought him a couple of friends. The tank is now LITTERED with Assassin eggs, less than a week later. Which is perfectly fine because it seems Killer's been having trouble keeping up with the new larger volume, and there are also new batches of pond snail eggs all over. His new family will soon have lots to eat!

ETA: I put one of his new "friends" in my shrimp tank, where trumpet snails have started having a party recently. One of them was a behemoth, almost 2" - way longer than the assassin I put in there. I found its empty shell last night. SCHNOZZLE MONSTERS!
