:*) , I'm not sure how to ask this without sounding stupid but, are there any 'dwarf' arowanas? And if not, which species of arowana stays the smallest? Is it the Jardini(sp?) or is there another species that stays below 24"? Thankz for checking out this post! Toodles! PF

Sorry but there isnt any dwarf arowana species, the smallest would be either the jardini arowana or the black arowana both of which can get to around 30 inches and at least 2 foot.

I know its not but african butterfly fish look similar if you really take a good look at them. The face looks like an arrowana's and the ABF only gets 4 inches long

There really is no dwarf, you CAN keep one in pretty small tank for a bit 4X2X2 footplan (120 gallon?) But you will have to upgrade quickly as they grow very fast! (1-2" a month!!!)
