I brought an Interpet twin airpump as it claimed on the box that it was extremely quiet. Despite setting it somewhere it can’t vibrate, using the best airstones, and shutting it away under my fish tank it’s still too noisy for me to have on all the time. it's the pump it's self that's noisy. I really hate the sound. :shout:

Is there any genuinely quiet air pumps? I’d like my fish to have the pleasure of swimming among the bubbles.

One suspended on string and not touching anything else. I found Hailea pumps to be quietest.

Try and make so its not really touching anything.... like the person above said....
As when its touching something, the sound travels through it and makes it louder (going all scientific here... ill shut up now)

If you don't need anything powerful then airpump from penn plax filter kit is extremely quiet. If you place it on flat surface you can't hear it :) I'm using it to run airstone, before I had interpet airpump but it was too noisy.
