It is a good idea for a pole... :) Personally, I wouldn't want jellyfish "glowing" genes spliced into my DNA. :D

I voted inhumane, not because the creation of the fish is cruel (but I'm sure the mom didn't like have genes injected into her) its what happens to the fish that is inhumane. The only people who buy glofish™ are usually people who know nothing about fish. and they will put their brand new glofish™ in it's new bowl and watch him gulp air and swim frantically for a couple days, then the fish dies and the person is disappointed.
But still I see many experienced aquarists attracted to these fish for whatever unfathomable reason.
I think you should have set up this poll as "do you agree with the creation of glofish™" instead of " Are glofish™ humane". because most people will agree their not humane, but will disagree with the fish.
If you want to buy you own new glofish™ fine, go ahead, just as long as the demand for them doesn't push any of the natural beauty's out of the tanks at my LFS. Just as long as you always remember what that ™ at the end of glofish™ stands for.

I voted not inhumane, but having said that I'm not sure I would actually buy them as they may clash with the Cardinal Tetra :p
