i looked for illegal pets/wildlife in ky and here is what i found
Ø The general public cannot import, possess, or transport through KY any of the following: (and see Inherently Dangerous additions (as of 7/13/05) following this list)
(Note: The Commissioner may exempt Zoos, Government Agencies, Colleges, Universities, or Circuses from the prohibited species regulations)
o Any federally threatened or endangered species
o Baya weaver (Plocius phillipinus)
o Blackbirds (Genus Agelaius), except native species
o Cape sparrow (Passer melanurus)
o Cowbirds (Genus Molothrus), except native species
o Cuckoo (Family Cuculidae), except native species
o Dioch or red-bellied quelea (Quelea quelea)
o European blackbird (Turdus merula)
o Fieldfare (Turdus pillar)
o Flying fox or fruit bat (Genus Pteropus)
o Gambian giant pouched rat (Cricetomys gambianus)
o Giant marine or cane toad (Bufo marinus)
o Hawaiian rice bird or spotted munia (Lonchura punctalata nisoria)
o Jack rabbit (Genus Lepus)
o Java sparrow (Padda oryzivora)
o Madagascar weaver (Foudia madagascariensis)
o Mistle thrush (Turdus viscivorus)
o Monk or Quaker parakeet (Myiopsitta monachus)
o Multimammate rat (Subgenus Mastomys)
o Mute swan (Cygnus olor)
o Nutria (Myocastor coypus)
o Prairie Dog (Cynomys spp.)
