They look like they have some convict in them. I think they're called the Flier Cichid? They get to around 8" or so. I would definatly get a bigger tank. Maybe when they're tiny you could house them in a 15G but a 35G is better. They like to sift sand from the bottom. Treat as any normal small cichlid.
If your 15G is not 2 foot. I'd say no way. They could probably breed at the same rate of convicts so thats why he kept them in a 15G
6-7 rams? most deffinalty not. All cichlids show some degree of territorial behaviour. A pair of rams would be maximum in a 15 gallon...
theoreticly you get get 4 in there, but chances are they'll start breding etc and territorial behaviour will be emphasised, A pair would be recomeneded for this size tank.
Personally, i would make it a planted tank with a pair of Rams, but thats my thought, im a cichlid guy myself...
however, a channa bleheri could work.
I wouldnt go with the cons.. too big and agressive.
Hmm, you could go for the fig 8st, it might work, but i wouldnt recomend it with the gobies. And bottom dweller are likely to be nipped.
Rams - yup that seems a good idea
Again you could go with a red eye puffer.
Personally, id go heavily planted with a pair of Ram cichlid in there. Heavily planted tanks can look highly attractive, I currently own a 60 gallon american Biotope and have had nothing but amazing comments from people who have seen it..
Give it a try..!
