Arched Back

no, she was older when I first got her. I don't have a test kit so i dont know.

I also forgot to mention that she's breathing really fast too. I checked her just now when I came home and she's still at the bottom of the breeder. Should I just let her out?

I cant add at what the problem is but I've lost 5 male guppies to exactly the same symptoms, my water is fine but noone knows what is/was wrong with them.

I have 2 left and not sure if they will die too :-(

Most people I have spoken too though say that they dont do well and are fairly easy to lose through some sort of problem.

Hope we find out soon.

Vicki

If she was an adult when you brought her it is usually old age because you never know how old they are when you buy them. As the average life expectancy is only 2 years.

Guppies can live waayyy longer than to years, taken care of properly. I would think you are having a ammonia spike. Take your water to your lfs ASAP and have it tested. I have noticed that oyu post about alot of tank problems. I would suggest instead of buying MROE fish, or stuff you dont need, save up and get a test kit. If you test once or week, or whenever, you can prevent the problem with a water chagne before you get the outcome.

i haven't had any probs for a long time. and i only have three fish in that tank, and 9 fish total in my house.

i will be watching her closely but today she seems to be better.
