Thanks :)

Hi Chris

I have just started using an Arcadia luminaire! I opted for the all signing all dancing 4X T5 lamp version with the new 'PLANT' lamps. So far so good! The thing that has impressed me most so far is the colour or my Hygrophylia cormybosa leaves they are soooo golden. nothig but praide for the light so far but ive only been running for 2 weeks!

Picture doesnt do it justice!

Thanks Planter :)

Could you get a pic of your whole tank up?

Does each lamp have it's own independant switch?

I think i'm gonna go for the 2xT8 version.

:thanks:

I have the Arcadia 48" freshwater T5 luminaire. There are 2 on/off switches at the end of the unit. I set mine with a timer to come on 5 minutes apart, so it's not such a shock for the fish especially on dark winter mornings. Overall I'm pleased with it, my tank is 85 galls which give me about 2.4 wpg, the plants are growing well, but I do also add CO2

Looks really good! Thanks for the pic planter - beautiful tank :)

Do you inject Co2?

Thanks Chris !

Yes I inject Co2 Im quite new to this planted tank thing So I dont have all the answers but I get the impression if you Have bright light more the need to inject Co2. Im using a pressurised system with a PH controller. The pic was taken about a week after filling the tank with water! The plant thats reaching the surface already is just Hygro. Polysperma which apparantly is as tuff as old boots! When the tank has cycled and i get the hang of maintaining stable water parameters ill move on to more challenging plants. I just spent about an hour chopping up my Glossostigma and re planting tiny little single plants. Be warned youll spend a lot of time hunched over your new aquarium! All good fun though

regards
