Aquatic Pet Peeves?!?!

Mine would have to be black brush algae. This stuff had me tearing my hair out a few weeks ago, on top of it now thankfully.

Also, slightly off-topic but people who turn up on here using 'txt spk'. The odd word shortened or whatever is fine but I can't stand full on text speak.

I have to agree with both of those! BBA is my nightmare at the moment but that was down to a broken solenoid. Now have to deal with the aftermath which is BBA all over my bolbitis

I hate it when people call Honey Gouramis Dwarf Gouramis........two different fish people! Silly one I know.

and I'm another one that hates any tank that doesn't look natural...bright gravel, divers, skulls - the lot.

The Cory/Neon/Rasbora thing too within reason.

I have to agree, those bright pink/blue/green gravels etc make me feel . I mean i'm not a fish band I wont pretend I know how they think...but jeez...can you imagine walking around on bright pink pavements, that would seriously make me want to close my eyes all the time!

On a serious note: my biggest peeve at the moment is the BGA. Has improved slightly since I made my filter a larger spray bar which goes across the whole of the back of the tank, but it's still there and it still bugs me. It may as well blow raspberries and shout "ner ner ner ner ner ner" at me - that's how much I hate it!
