Aquascaper 20g

AquaClear filters are really good, would you have room for one of those? (If it would help I could show you photos of both my 20 and my 50, for size reference)
Issue is, I have no space behind the tank:

I can have a HOB on the 29g, because it’s 6 inches taller than the 20g:

I just need to find a different internal filter... definitely open to suggestions.

I have 20 minutes until school, so I really need to hurry with this!

Plan: Trim frogbit roots, 75% water change, clean filter, clean glass, and substrate vacuum.

Only got a little work done:

I was just able to trim the frogbit roots and I didn’t even get finished with that. I think I’m going to pull about 10% of the frogbit, because there are just so many!

I also wasn’t able to perform the 75% water change, because the faucet in my shower is broken. ?

If I can get my bathtub faucet fixed today, I will finish trimming and perform the 75% water change. I also plan to clean the filter.

Once my paycheck comes in, I will get the Fluval U3.

Holy cow it’s been a while since I updated!!

Tank is doing great:

Just performed a 50% water change and substrate vacuum. I also added some root tabs to the Vals, which are exploding. ?

(I’ll get some close-ups of the plants in a bit)

Crypts are doing very well. Sort of had a melt, but they are doing good now:

These vals are insane. There are new shoots everywhere.

And for any of you who didn’t know that frogbit can grow up and out of the water, you were wrong!!

The crypts also got absolutely massive since last week:

Tank maintenance time:

The SW tank has occupied so much of my times I’ve kind of neglected my other tanks. I need to change that.

Only managed to get a top off on:

Also got some pics of the fish:

When I get back home I’ll try to trim and get rid of some of that algae.

I tried to get as much work in as I possibly could, but I was super busy today:

The fish are definitely happy.

I need to clean the filter, glass, substrate, etc. I need to do a lot of work.

As I’ve said, I’ve been occupied with my SW tank and just life.
