i did a conversion on the net and it says this tank size is 70litres +.. i did the concersion on another site and it showed the same amount of litres for this tank..

is the person at the aquarium wrong or is the com wrong lol....??

The web site's calculations are correct. But you won't have 701t's of water in there as gravel and decorations will take some space and you don't fill your tank to the brim!

As for how many fish, that's like the "how long is a piece of string?" question, it depends on what fish you want as to how many you can have.

cool thanks... i reiterate that question.. what types of fish and how many of them is suitable for this tank?? lol :good:

one question lol i want to breed some fish so does the whole tank have to have the same species or can it be mixed? thanks

It all depends on what you want.

If you're not sure what type of fish you want, give as good of a description of a "type" of fish you're looking for.

The more complete your questions, the more complete the answers that can be given to you. :)

As Gatorbait says, it all depends on the fish you have and the fish you want to breed.

If you really want to breed fish then you should have a nursery tank to put the fry in so the other fish don't eat them, in some breeds of fish the parents will eat them quick as looking at them!

You should probably get some experience with just "keeping" fish before you atempt breeding them though!

aceis, guppies, and ..........................................................

ummmm have you given any thought to what you are going to do with the fry?????

I don't breed fish, I don't have enough experience yet and I also don't have anywhere to keep them and my LFS doesn't want them!

I'd be checking to make sure you can really get rid of them before you even consider starting.

Acei are pretty big fish too, too big for your tank particularily given that you'll need to get 3 or more. Their water conditions are completely different to a guppy, you can't put these two fish together.
