Aquarium Salt OK for 1 gallon?

I did Skylar's water change, and I am curious to know if a little aquarium salt would be OK to add? I've heard it can harm in 1 gallon and under...

are you medicating for something specific? then i believe that 1 tablespoon/gallon is okay...if it is just preventative, i would use less.

He looks to have the makings of fin rot.... and is kinda slow.

as log as you dot put to much is it should be fine.
salt and water changes are all i use for finrot, unless it gets really bad.

I reguarly use aquarium salt in 1 gallon tanks. It should be fine, as long as you don't overdo it. Just follow the instructions on the box.

I toss in just a pinch whenever something is ailing one of my boys - most of them are in 2 - 2.5 g tanks, but i do have one 1G tank. That one gets just a few salt crystals when I change him out.
