Hi :)

Just started using Aquarium salt for my betta fish for it's fin rot. I am doing up to 3 50% water changes a day to keep toxins down (probably the primary cause)during the fish-in cycle and was wondering how much salt to add back to the tank after each one. It's about a 20m litre tank (which is about 5 gallons) so that is 1 tsp (tablespoon), from my logic i would add 1/2 tsp per each 50% change. Though i'm not sure if the salt would build up in anyway and harm my Betta fish.

Hopefully this is a nice quick question :)

Thank you for asking this - I need to know the same thing. I'm embarrassed to say I have two bettas that both underwent fin rot. I don't know how, because I keep the water clean, but they did :(
