Aquarium pc software.

Very true Kevin, :D

Though that is for all the VB Runtime files. You only really need the one I added to the zip. ;)

If you want all the files for VB programs then by all means download the lot from the address in the Read Me.txt file. :)

has anyone managed to get this to run on Win2000? I get an unexepected class error.

Hi luma,

Was just searching for an answer to your problem and came across a newer version of the program. Hopefully this version will have fixed the issue you are having.

If not I would try downloading the VB Runtime library that is mentioned in the Read Me.txt file. :)

Here is where you can download the newer version (2.1)

Thanks I will give it a try. I tried bringing in the VB files, it does not seem to be the problem. the program installs, but as you try and run it it stops with the error code.

Maybe it's just not compatible with Windows 2000? I don't have a Windows 2000 PC to try it on.

It says on the download page for the version 2.1 that this version is compatible with Windows 2000. So if that doesn't work I think it may be something on your setup that is causing the problem.

Has anyone else tried this with Windows 2000?

BTW I am using Windows XP Pro and it works fine.

It seems that a few of you are having problems running the program, and Feargal suggested that it is no longer supported, well I have an idea.

Why not create a program of our own ? I work in the Computer industry and I would be able to develop the application, and I'm sure that there are enough "experts" using this forum to be able to contribute some accurate fish related information to kick it off.

I don't know how long it would take as it would be done in my spare time, but if there is enough interest and people are willing to contribute some content (technical data) then it might be worth a try.

There is even scope for developing an on-line database for use by members of this site/forum, the possibilities are endless.

I'd love an online version of this in the main site for all members to use.

Davy,

What type of server is the site hosted on, e.g. Windows with IIS or UNIX with Apache etc ?

Hi Craig!,

Work is in development on the website at the minute to bring the site a more professional look, part of this is to update all the sections making them more of an 'on-line database' and making them much easier to use! :)

I have already spoken to Davy about needing more content on the main website. This is something that is also going to have be worked on. Take note you lot... We need more articles / guides, etc. on everything; plants / fish / equipment, etc. The more we have the better it will be! :)

We need to make the main website as interesting and useful as this forum! If we can do that then this place will be packed! ;)

Oh!.. and as you can see Craig, not much point in asking Davy anything technical! LMAO!
