Hi all.

I went over to Ferrybridge aquatics the other day (amazing fish shop) and noticed they had a small tank on their counter. I asked and it was apparently an "aquacube" but they had none in stock. Popped into Pets at home today and they have a 15l Aquacube on sale at the minute and Im really thinking of getting one as a little second tank for my kitchen (Ive posted my main tank on here before).

Im just wondering if anybody has one and what is the amount of fish you can have in them? Im thinking of just having about 5 neons and then a couple of cherry shrimp on the bottom.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi the tank is too small for neons IMO, they need to be in groups of 6+

The only fish i would keep in there is a betta and that would be pushing it to he honest.

It would make a lovely shrimp tank if you got some plants in there, have a look at some of the nano tanks in the planted section for inspiration :good:

Thanks Ill have look in there for ideas. They do have a bigger 25l version so would that be a better tank for the idea of shrimp and a few small fish?

Yeah would defiantly be better you could keep 6 neon tetras in there as well as shrimp. :good:

Thats not the one. The pets@home cube is £29 for the 15L and £39 for the bigger one. The one in the review started at £50

Sorry apparently they are different but a lot of people online saying they are great tanks for the price but the filters are a bit crap

The ones at pets at home are called 5mm 'ultra glass' cubes and are made by coopets.

Thats the one mate, the filter is very poor and as i said the light broke the same night, couple people reported leaks. Im going to use mine to grow some moss in as it poor. The other nano tank i got thed day after is fab mind. see other thread

Been having a good read up on all of these cube tanks for the last few days and I think im going to leave it and go for a Fluval edge.

The edges seem to have a lot better filter and there are some decent prices on ebay for them (wouldnt pay the £100 quid that pets at home are charging).
