Its almost impossible to tell without a picture which species of applesnail even they are let alone if they are applesnails at all! The colour of them makes no difference as you get varieties of each one...

Like most things it depends, P Canulicata will get applesize, about the size of the palm of your hand!! P. Bridgesi, my ones will get a max of about golf ball size, beatiful though
