Apple snails are not hermaphrodites, although they can sometimes change sex. Looks like Pomacea bridgesii. They appear to be all the same species so the species hypothesis is probably written off. Have you seen any hint of embrio developement in the eggs or cracked one open around the time you would normally expect them to hatch?
