I have apple snails and rams horn snails... can I put them in a pond ? I dont want to keep too many in my aquarium, and I dont want to kill them either. My mother has a pond ( one of those plastic ones). I would keep them in a seperate aquarium until they mature. My mom has coi and shubunkin fish. I dont think the fish would bother a full sized snail. So would the snails survive outside in a pond. ( mother puts a pond heater in pond in winter time).

As long as the water doesn't get too cold then the apple snails should be fine, but if the temp drops below 18C they will probably die.
Ramshorn snails will tolerate cold water as long as the pond doesn't freeze. However they often breed in massive numbers and can become a pest that eats the plants. However, I doubt there are plants in the pond if it contains koi carp.

I would think koi would eat even full grown apple snails and defo ramshorn snails.
