Hi there does any one know how to decipher the dates on API nitrate test kits ?
I have two kits both API one that I bought on its own a couple of months ago and another that I got in the reef tesy kit the only thing they both read different
The first kit I got reads about 5ppm the batches on the bottles are
bottle1# 17A0506 bottle2# 18o0606
Where the second kit reads 15ppm the batches on these bottles are
bottle# 117b0306 bottle#2 18b0606
Iknow i should err on the side of caution but 5ppm over 15ppm sounds alot better
