I sent an email asking about them and they're not ready yet, those two certainly won't be the only ones they come out with you know. i'm sure there will eventually be a wide variety available. as soon as others see how it's done, you just KNOW they're going to start appearing in the local fish shops and big box stores. this isn't to say i'm planning on buying one, i'm not! i was just pointing out something interesting. but for those of you getting your knickers in a twist over what looks "natural" or "belongs" tell me, does a bin bag liner as a background or a spaypainted background or any other type of homemade or store purchased background have anything whatsoever to do with a fish's "natural" habitat? not even close.

ETA: wow, I just re-read my post and it comes off as totally insane, like i'm attacking people...lol...i'm not, so don't jump on me.

Ever so sorry prios,
I for one certainly did'ent mean to get on you case, I was just expressing my opinion. If you like it, then go with it. Other people might not feel the same way.
Each to his/her own.

I don't even really like scenic backgrounds. I prefer to go with either a dark blue, or black background.

personally i dont like them.I would much rather have a nice planted scene or a plain black/blue background.
they look too fake,i try to make my tanks look as natural as i can!but if they did one that looked mabe a bit more natural.Like an underwater scene then i might be tempted.........

That's way nifty!
I don't like lighthouse ship themes, but I'd go for the lightening cloud one! ...the city lights I could do without, though. I think it'd be better if it had dark land, with maybe some dark blue 'shadows' to hint at a forest or hills or something. But some people like city themes (my sister has a wall poster of New York, and she loves it...)

To answer somebody's question - I think the only way flashing lights would scare fish, is if they were very bright and very sudden...those are too subtle and rhythmic to freak out any pets, I would think.
