Strangely enough i have never had a common wolf, i've always intended to get one but never actually got around to buying one.
But as with any aggressive predatory fish tankmates are a matter of trial and error mostly, some will tollerate other fish in the tank as long as they are too large to be considered food and some will flat out annialate anything you keep with them.
Its usually best to avoid fish that trigger the feeding responce so dont keep them with anything with silver or bright scales as flashes of light reflecting from them are likely to result in a bite, likewise dont keep them with anything that is likely to challenge them territorially or looks similar to them. The best tankmates to try are probably things like large but non aggressive Cichlids or armoured catfishes such as plecs and larger Doradids
