Yep.. Always the way.. here!!

I love Christmas time but on a more personal level, it's quite a difficult time for me! :(

I try to look forward, make it the best Christmas ever for the Children.. :D

mum of 5 i know exactly what you mean
especially our lass we both find it hard
and very very stressful

I dislike christmas, I am a bit of a scrooge. I initially enjoyed it when I was much younger but being 20 now I don't find it enjoyable at all really and I find it more of a hassle than its worth.

I'm not one for buying presents for people as I prefer saving the money for myself and getting myself something in the future rather than having someone insist they have to spend a fixed amount of money on something I don't really want/need or even have any interest in at the time.

I hate making people disappointed and when someone buys you a present which you know for a fact isn't useful its hard to be over the moon about it.

It was also a contributing factor to the divorce of my parents when it came to grand parents on my mothers side insisting we had to travel on a 4 hour drive in extreme bad weather to see them and they never visited here without complaining. So each time I did it after knowing it was a bad thing for the parents I hated it more and more and in fact I despise it now.

Additionally, I spent christmas in China with my father and Serbian step mother 2 years ago, they have a completely different tradition and even though I don't really like christmas but I did the traditional things for my dad's sake my step family refused to participate properly... eugh...

Finally, I am ALWAYS ill on the days leading up to Christmas in some way or another. Last year I was coughing blood up for a few weeks and the doctors couldnt diagnose what it was, year before that I threw my guts up in China and well it's been like that every christmas. In fact one Christmas I shattered my finger and spent all evening missing crap TV in hospital haha.

I find it quite stressful for myself being a woman as they have to do everything, shopping, cards, baking, organizing having family and friends over, wrapping gifts and tons of other things to do.

I love Christmas....but have to admit....when its over...I'm so relieved.

commercial, and generally objectionable. personally, I cant stand it!

but, I have a family, which means how i feel is, largely, academic. 20 minutes of fun, for the kids. followed by hours of broken toys, arguments of, those toys. topped of with a meal, that takes hours to prepare, is finished in half an hour. apart from that, I love it!

i think the season would be fun, if it were not so, overly, commercialised.

Yep, I've got eight brothers & sisters with an army of nephews & nieces, not to mention my own two sons

I've just got back from yet another Christmas shopping (more like a sortee)spree, feeling a bit spaced out - full of a cold - just taken 2 all-in -one tablets & some cough mixture :S

I'm 20 and I LOVE christmas. Absolutely my favourite time of year. The whole country just kicks back and relaxes for 2 days, eating all day is seen as acceptable, as is drinking from 11am lol

My family have always worked on a 'list' basis. We all write christmas lists and as such dont end up with presents we dont want.

And christmas tv is just fab! All those awesome movies solidly for like a week! :D
